Tigers-White Sox first-place showdown in prime time

The Tigers and White Sox head into the series finale at Comerica Park tonight with just one game separating them in the standings for the American League Central standings. The game will be broadcast as ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball game, on ESPN2.

It also features the two teams' aces, Justin Verlander for the Tigers and Chris Sale for the White Sox.

Manager Jim Leyland rolled the dice a little bit, putting Brennan Boesch in the lineup again as the designated hitter. In July, Boesch hit a three-run home run off Sale in a 7-1 win, becoming just the second left-hander to homer off the Southside southpaw.

The Tigers have won six straight against the White Sox, and nine of 13 this season. They're 7-1 against the Sox at Comerica this year.
