The Tigers won the one they had to at home to even the American League Championship Series at 2-2, and ensure that it would go back to Boston for at least Game 6. Now, they're going to try to head back to Boston with the series lead.

“We know we’re going back to Boston, for sure, either one up or one down,” said Tigers manager Jim Leyland after the 7-3 win in Game 4.

“(Thursday is) a big game. We need to have the lead, going back to Boston,” said reliever Drew Smyly. “It’s going to be a big three games, and (Thursday is) a big game.”
