Traffic advisory for Monday's Tigers-Lions doubleheader in downtown: Leave early

With the upcoming Monday Night Football football game for the Lions presenting a potential traffic nightmare for the downtown area, the Tigers moved their scheduled night game against the Royals back to 4:08 p.m. to help keep the crush to a minimum.

It'll still be hectic, the club warned in a traffic advisory issued Friday.

To help with parking, Olympia Development Parking Services will hold the entirety of the Tiger Garage and Lots 1, 2 and 3, and Lots A, C, D, E, G, J, L, S, T and W open for Tigers fans on Monday.  Fans must show a ticket to park in these lots.

Other Olympia lots will be on a first-come, first-parked basis.

Comerica Park gates open at 2 p.m. for the public on Monday.
