16. Joshua Turley, LHP — 5-11, 190, Baylor University, Jr.
Originally drafted in the 36th round in 2009 by the Brewers. Holds Big 12 record for fewest walks per 9 innings (1.36 in 2011), and is a three-time member of Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll.


17. William "Slade" Smith, RHP — 6-2, 185, Auburn University, Jr.
Journalism major whose father, Ted Smith, played QB at Auburn from 1969-72.


18. Dylan LaVelle, 3B — 6-2, 190, Lake Stevens HS, Washington
Home schooled. Top prospect in Washington state is an Oregon State commit. Per an interview last July with the Everett (Wash.) Herald, LaVelle was told by scouts he'd be drafted somewhere between Round 3 and Round 7, but "OSU is an amazing fall-back option."
