Lineups for Game 1 of the Detroit Tigers' interleague series against Giants
It's the first time the two teams have met since the 2012 World Series.
The Giants, who have gone 8-9 against the American League this year, are coming off a series in Colorado where they dropped two of three games, but still have won 10 of their last 15 games, and sit two games behind the National League West-leading Dodgers. San Francisco is currently in the first NL Wild Card slot.
Detroit went 11-7 in its recent stretch where 15 of 18 games were on the road. The Tigers are one game behind the Kansas City Royals in the American League Central standings, and a half-game up on Seattle for the second AL Wild Card slot.
